Children in Year 2 and Year 4 met with respected musical director Alex Wilson to produce an exciting performance in celebration of the multinational nature of our school.
After the event, Head Teacher, Mrs Rosie Cowan, had this to say:
‘Our children come from fifty-eight recorded ethnic backgrounds and, as we are fully inclusive, we cater for a wide range of educational needs. I contacted Alex Wilson to discuss a music project that would reflect both the aims of the school and the community we represent. Music can be a challenge in terms of personalising learning in a school with a thousand pupils; Alex met that challenge, leading one-hundred-and-twenty children and more than thirty adults through a series of well-structured and exciting workshops that culminated in a musical extravaganza on the last afternoon.’
A CD of songs from this delightful performance is available to buy from our reception.
