On the 3rd of April 2019, Nursery children rehearsed and presented a magical performance for parents telling the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The play was set in the forest of a Midsummer Night’s Dream, which Nursery children had been learning about during Shakespeare Week.
Older children were chosen to perform the main parts and all the rest of the children played the parts of fairies, trees or flowers.
Children were excited and enjoyed the experience of performing in front of their parents and the rest of the school. During this wonderfully endearing process, the children developed confidence through the art of performance. They learned songs and gained a better understanding of the story through their performance skills.
Parents were captivated by the children’s effort and commitment throughout. It really was a heart warming performance for all concerned.
