This week the pupils, parents and staff of Essex Primary had the pleasure of participating in one of the best Sports Weeks that we have ever had! First, the pupils took part in handball, cricket and football challenges, which tested their aiming, throwing and kicking skills. Then their physical strength and determination was tested by the ‘tug-of-war’ competition. Finally, their speed and stamina were tested through a series of running races, both individual and team relay. Some courageous parents took the plunge and participated in the parents’ races, much to the delight of their children! The joy that the pupils felt at seeing their parents at the event was evident from the expressions on their faces. We thank all the parents who took the time to attend. We also thank the P.E. coaches for the time and effort they put into organising and delivering such a successful Sports Day.
