On Thursday 30th and Friday 31st January, year 3 visited Thrift Farm in Hertfordshire. They had an opportunity to feed and pet the lambs whilst learning about the history of the farm. They saw where crops such as barley, wheat and oats are farmed and got to experience ‘farm life’ at its best.
All pupils were very excited and enthusiastic about the visit and asked an array of interesting questions. They even witnessed the lambing process and watched in amazement as a ewe gave birth to the lamb. Overall it was a great experience for all pupils and they are very well informed about sheep and farm life.
