This week, year 2 had a wonderful time visiting the Florence Nightingale Museum, where they learned about Florence’s incredible work as the founder of modern nursing. Pupils enjoyed exploring what hospitals were like during the Crimean War, and took part in a fun, hands-on workshop where they dressed up as nurses and soldiers, learning about hygiene and finding Florence Nightingale’s favourite possessions. The storytelling sessions about Florence’s journey were a highlight, sparking curiosity and great questions. It was a fun, educational day that brought their classroom learning to life and left a lasting impression on our year 2 pupils.
