On Tuesday 23rd April 2023, Essex Primary School’s year 6 Debate Mate team collaboratively debated against opposing schools, covering an array of topics. The debates were designed to challenge the participants’ debating skills through development of their ‘Personal Learning’ and ‘Thinking Skills’, thus enhancing their creative and critical thinking.
They debated with grace, respect and clarity which contributed to them winning one out of two debates. We await with anticipation, to see if they get through to the next round.
