Essex Primary celebrated ‘World Maths Day’ and completed a variety of fun activities throughout the day linked to ‘Famous Mathematicians‘ and ‘Sustainability’. Children were involved in solving real-life problems around how to make our planet more sustainable. They used a range of mathematical, problem-solving, investigative and collaborative skills to solve a given problem. They also researched a key mathematician to find out the contribution that the person made to our world and how this impacts on our daily lives. It was lovely to see so many pupils putting in the effort to make their own Maths Day outfits!
