Year 6 Visit to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

On Thursday, two of the year 6 classes had the opportunity to visit the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for a fieldwork session,  led by an expert from the Field Studies Council, as part of their unit in geography. Pupils investigated different parts of the Park to analyse and identify the land use and development it had undertaken over the years, building up from the 2012 London Olympics. They spoke about the positive and negative effects of the Park and the people around it, each completing a worksheet for the day. The two remaining year 6 classes will go for the session next week. It is fair to say the pupils came back from the trip tired from the walk!
