The School Council had the honour of visiting Houses of Parliament on 25th November 2022. They were taken on a historical and insightful tour throughout all of the mesmerising Parliament buildings. This included the deceptively small chambers of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The children were lucky enough to witness a live debate from the public gallery. They gazed on as the MP’s thrashed out points of view regarding improvements to CO2 emissions.
The pupils then engaged in an empowering workshop that further enhanced their speaking and representative skills. Our School Council conducted themselves impeccably and the new diplomatic skills they all gained will be used to great effect at Essex Primary School.
