This week, the year 4 and 5 pupils who attend the Wondermaths Club took part in the Wondermaths In-school Tournament to prepare for the ‘Live Heats’ happening at the end of this half term. The tournament focuses on shape puzzles, number games and code-breaking challenges to help develop children’s confidence, problem-solving skills and most importantly, their enjoyment of mathematics.
Pupils were excited and keen to show that they had the necessary skills and speed to be selected as a member of the final team of five going through to the ‘Live Heats’. The final five will be competing against other year 4 and 5 pupils from over 100 schools across London in the hope of earning a place in the grand final!
