Six pupils from year 5 took part in the Junior RE Conference at Elmhurst Primary School. The aim of the session was to give pupils the opportunity to discuss spiritual and moral issues that are important to them. The conference included pupils from a range of cultures, differing faiths and secular backgrounds. Through a range of collaborative activities, pupils were encouraged to engage in dialogue and share experiences to promote better understanding of different perspectives. Pupils also took part in a series of Philosophy4Children debates; the final task was for them to complete a reflective artistic piece. It was very interesting to hear their viewpoints and see them work together so harmoniously with other schools.
