Year 3 visit to the Horniman Museum

This week, Year 3 went on an educational visit to the Horniman Museum. They took part in an interactive workshop to enhance their learning about prehistoric Britain. They learned about the different periods of the Stone Age: the Palaeolithic, the Mesolithic and the Neolithic periods. They showed great curiosity and enthusiasm when exploring and investigating different artefacts from the past. The pupils also showed great interest when taking a tour of the museum where they discovered the rich diversity of human cultures from around the globe, gaining insight into their customs, traditions and lifestyles. They embarked on a journey through time in the natural history gallery where they encountered fossils and animals from the natural world. From this visit, the year 3 pupils have developed a deeper understanding of the world around them  and how the past relates to the present and the future.
